A Possible Idea?
Sooooo, I have this idea of an Overwatch fan fic, but I’m unsure if I should pursue it. I contemplated a bit before thinking: why not post the idea, a snippet and see what people say? Thus, this post is born. Below I’ll be posting the AU and summary of the fic I’m thinking of making along with the a small snippet of what I’ve written so far. Few notes, the content posted below is completely rough draft and in the heat of the moment. Very basic, very semi-ugly writing, and non-edited. I just wanted to see if people would like the idea and if so, I’ll roll with it. I’ll leave it out there and see what feedback I get. If it’s positive, then I’ll do it (I may do it regardless we’ll see how much motivation I have). So, raw content, very rough darft, un-edited so it’s very ugly and bleh. Tell me what you all think.
The Idea: Idk if it’s been made, but if not, then let’s do this! A fic of AmericanDragon AU where Genji is Jake, Angela is Rose. So the only similarity is the concept but none of the characters or plot are the same, gonna bring in a twist. Let’s do this!
Summary: The fic is about Genji being a dragon-in-training to protect the human world from dangers such as the Talon Organization and the mystical world. He’s part of the organization Overwatch and goes on missions with others. His master, an omnic named Zenyatta, teaches Genji and his older brother Hanzo the ways of controlling their inner dragons with the help of their father. Chapters would focus on side things while trying to stop Talon and keeping the mystical and real world separate.
The Preview:

“I can’t do it. I can’t do this Anija” a young and energetic voice spoke frantically.
“Yes you can” an older and bit deeper voice soothed the other person down.
The younger person took some deep breaths as they close their eyes. He can do this. He can definitely do this. Easy peasy.
He opens his eyes.
Genji stared himself down on the mirror, determination in his hazel-green eyes. He closes his eyes as he inhales by four, outhale by 6. He opens his eyes once again.
“I am the dragon. I am fierce, bold, and powerful. I, can do this … Ah I CAN’T DO THIS!! ANIJA! I CAN’T DO IT!” the teen screams out in defeat as he slouches forward, the sink the only thing keeping him from falling to the tiled floor of his bathroom.
He hears his anija, Hanzo, let out a deep sigh through the speaker’s phone.
“It’s alright Genji. You have a total of - 13 days and 2 months before asking Angela out to the dance. Plenty of time to sum up the courage you’ve been trying to get the past month and a half” the older brother says as Genji tried not to sob so loudly.
“I am trying brother. I’m not like you where people would fall flat on the floor for you” the younger brother says as he grabs some toilet paper and cleans his tears and mucus off. Hanzo let out a small hiss as a ribbit broke him off. Genji throws the paper away and picks up his phone to see a message of Lucio.
“That sounded like Lucio. I’ll leave you then brother, you have school to go to now” Hanzo says as some rustling was heard on his end. “Haaaii. Say hi to your gang for me” Genji says as he walks out of the bathroom, grabbing his backpack and skateboard before heading out his bedroom door. “Will do” the older brother replies, Genji ready to hang up before a thought crossed his mind. The teen smirked and let out a small snicker before clearing his throat, certainly getting Hanzo’s attention. “GIVE AN EXTRA SLOPPY KISS TO JESSE FOR ME PLEASE!!” he says with a laugh and hangs up just as Hanzo was screaming his name. The teen snickered before placing his phone in his pocket and rushing down the stairs.
