So, I was following "This Blender Shader is the Secret to Magical 3D Art" by Levi Magony and made this magic emerald.
This is for a series I'm working on with friends.

Tutorial Tuesday #3
What is this? This is a series where I follow a random art tutorial for a Tuesday.

Based on Ch 20 Flag Flying High by Araceil
Skies inspired by Steven Universe and drawn following @khroma‘s tutorial found here!
I haven’t done serious digital art in... a while. This felt good =)
For my first fellow student tutorial that I followed, I chose the tutorial "Digital Art and Photography" which is a mixed media-collaging type of tutorial by Daisy Prizo. https://daisyprizo.blogspot.com/2025/10/mixed-media-tutorial-digital-art-and.html I completed this tutorial using the pixlr app.
For my second example I chose to follow https://kailanleia.blogspot.com/2025/10/what-ive-learned-so-far-with-digital-art.html. I completed this tutorial using procreate.
AO3 coming in handy bc I knew some of this already :P
This is so much fun (/not sarcastic, it is genuinely fun bc I have the excuse to listen to my 9 hour fnaf playlist bc this is literally like 90% reading a website so an actual video would likely distract me too much to get stuff done, literally can just vibe to the music for awhile when I get tired then I can easily go back to it!)
Recently, I’ve been finding random tutorials to follow and just jump in cause I’ve been feeling like my art has been declining as of late. So heres a piece I did, and the tutorial I followed, haha.
Only a few with this one since I didn't feel like I could be as original with a lot of these since it was mostly just following whatever Dan did, but I did feel like my knowledge has indeed been broadened more with Photoshop as well after this.
Very long just like the Illustrator one before, but so worth it. I'm really enjoying getting to learn about functions I wasn't even aware the programs had.
