💫 The little things in life 💫 . This is around the corner of my house. We are truly blessed in London in terms of having so much green space and while I was walking around the neighbourhood the last few days, I couldn’t help but reminisce. . The view of Canary Wharf and One Canada Square always reminds me of working on top of the 51st floor for a well known bank. That was, what now seems, half a lifetime away. . I remember sitting at my desk and, while having absolutely amazing views over London, thinking to myself:”What the hell am I even doing here?”. But a gal needs to pay her bills and it was such a great lesson in terms of what it is I didn’t want in life. . I remember management offering me career progression and sending me to the States to train as a system analyst. Which is funny because I am the least technical or analytical person I know. This was a pattern that followed me into other jobs as well, all of which I always kindly declined. . Turns out the older I got the more my ability to bullshit had gone down and I could no longer pretend and invest my heart in things that weren’t fully aligned. . This wasn’t a quick process but one that took place over many years. . This has brought many blessings but also burdens. Blessings in terms of that I am finally following my souls calling full time but also burdens as I haven’t ‘progressed’ in a more hierarchical and corporate structure as satisfaction and freedom always played a bigger role. Finances are also not always as abundant as they could be. . However, I would not change one single thing and I am allowing myself to be carried forward by the wind of change with purpose, intent and vision. . So every time I pass landmarks that remind me of my past, I marvel at how far I have come and how lucky I can count myself. .
