This guy…. I first saw David Dennis with Voxhaul Broadcast at some closed down bookstore in Agoura Hills. I tagged along with a long time friend to see Rooney, not expecting anything more than a good hang. But the music sort of woke up me up from whatever shit I was going through at the time. Because that’s what music is suppose to do damn it, move you and groove you. I have to admit I started going to a lot of shows after that, craving the same inspirational experience. I continued to follow his music and that’s how I met my boyfriend of almost 4 years. My boyfriend was touring with him and ended up sharing a place with David in Echo Park. He’ll admit to David being the gnarliest songwriter he’s ever met. Now David’s writing with this band, Sonny Boy Thorn. I had the pleasure of recently seeing them jam at Fonogenic Studios. I’m stoked he’s doing what he’s born to do. I'll stop before more cheese comes out. I really dig his music. Check him out!!
