Hi! I was just wondering which font do you use for each of your fic headers on your masterlist for each book you write for?
Hey Nonny. I use the WordSwag app for everything. Occasionally I will use the text option in PicCollage but that is for some fics or pieces of moodboards.
It’s been awhile since I made most of these headers so I went into the app to double check.
Bobasheebaby’s Masterlist is from PicCollage and the font used octinsports.
The rest are all in WordSwag.
The Royal Romance, Masquerade & Rules of Engagement header is Jasper. Each name is a different block of text to get proper spacing and larger text.
Bloodbound & Nightbound is Wild and Free and one of my favorites.
Perfect Match is 20,000 Leagues, I think. I actually can’t get the font to come up again. 😖
Platinum & Red Carpet Diaries is Nine Teen Nineties.
Open Heart is Chelsea Club.
Mother of the Year is Modena Sans.
Choices Crossovers is Capri.
Supernatural is Miss Modest.
You aren’t always going to get these fonts first try. Some of the fonts have different spacing between letters, capital or lowercase options (not all do this), or a few different fonts in one name. You are going to want to play around with the fonts until you find one you love.
Each font you choose will come up like the above (once in a blue moon with one word it will be locked to one option). Click the different numbers, if you still aren’t happy roll the dice it switches it to give you five new options.
I usually play around with a bunch of fonts until I find one I love, I do this with my mood boards too. I find this fun and soothing, I know not everyone does and might get frustrated when you don’t find something you love within the first three tries, just don’t let it get to you.
The backgrounds, I know you didn’t ask but I’m answering anyways, came from a few different places. Sometimes I search the options on Wordswag, the Platinum one is actually the spotlights from a Backstreet Boys concert. They posted the photo on Instagram and I copied it cause I loved the colors and the way the lights looked. I also google, a lot. If it has white writing all over it (you will know) please don’t use it, that’s something they want you to pay for to use and you are opening yourself up to copyright issues.
Once I find the picture I like I use the entire picture and move the font I love around the picture until I find the placement I also love. Once I’m happy I save it, go into my camera roll and crop it to be the size above.
Hope this helps, if you have any other questions let me know!
