It’s been about two weeks that my diet has consisted of pure brosia and coffee. I feel great! Initially there was an adaptation process where I craved food, but that only lasted a few days. Now it’s not a problem to solely eat/drink brosia.
The only thing extra I’ve been having is coffee in the mornings, a beverage that has played a part in my life for the past five years. I can’t just give up that caffeine intake. However, making coffee can be kind of a hassle. So I thought that since we are time maximizers, this process could be optimized.
My roomate and I researched alternative methods of caffeine and stumbled upon Guarana. It’s a Brazilian seed predominant in the Amazon forest, which contains about twice the concentration of caffeine found in coffee beans. We bought a pound of it and have been experimenting with it in different proportions. It’s been five days of experimentation and the results have been awesome!!! For the first three days, we put the minimum recommended dosage and felt minimal difference in energy. I had to get a coffee around noon to boost my energy levels. So we decided to increase the dosage to 5/8s of the daily recommended caffeine intake and it gave us much better results. Right after I had breakfast, I felt like going on a ten mile run, did about 5 sets of 30 pushups, and read all of the material for all of my classes. I am just kidding, that did not happen! Got your hopes up, didn’t I?? Well, the results weren’t too far from that. I felt energized throughout the whole day and didn’t feel the crash I usually get from drinking coffee. We’ll continue to mess with the dosage, until we find the optimal amount. Or until we become superman! Talk soon!
