Fool by Cavetown and Valgrace
so, i’m on a constant hunt to find songs to fill up my valgrace playlist, since it’s pretty short. I found Fool, and I’m here to present why it perfectly encapsulates valgrace
-I am such a fool to keep on chasing after nothing great-
-You are such a fool to keep pretending that you're loving me-
leo thinks jason could never love him back, or is faking loving him.
-Call me on the phone at three, I talk to you while half asleep-
-Complaining 'bout your mother so I take you to the cemetery-
-Rant to me I like the sound, I like your voice, I like your mouth-
Leo likes to rant, has a dead mother and nice lips. need i say more?
-Cycling to school at 7:30 in the morning-
-I am still your baby boy I'm stuck in 2013-
if this is a modern au set in 2021, leo’s mother would have actually died 8 years ago, in 2013. so it makes sense he would be stuck there, like he’s described to be stuck on his guilt through HoO
-I am such a fool to keep on chasing after nothing great-
-You are such a fool to keep pretending that you're loving me-
-I don't know where I'm supposed to go-
Again, leo always enjoys to turn up the angsty meter, so the sentiment of ‘why do you love me?’ applies well to him. also, leo has never had a real sense of belonging, of home.
anywho i’m bad at explaining things but add this to your valgrace playlists
