Twyleen black spiderverse au where chubby black bunnygender Twyla is bitten by a radioactive spider in a dream, but it affects her bc she has a level of power and consciousness in her dreams and shadows as the daughter of the boogeyman. She gains an ability to much more vividly tap into the vast ever-changing and growing web of the dreaming/shadow realm almost like a heightened sixth sense. She diys a spidey boogeysand that lets her shoot black webs, gives her agility, and super strength. One day, she saves Howleen from something. Howleen doesn't know it was Twyla who saves her so they gush to her abt it. I just think Twyla makes too much sense as a Spiderghoul (moreso using aliases Bunspider/Dreamspider) bc bun is always lurking in the shadows and observing her surroundings. Plus obviously she can be a yapper and an awkward jokester sometimes lol. Howleen is basically her MJ! Twyla's father's existence and his boogeysand implies the existence of a Sandman kinda like how there's Sandman throughout the spiderverse. She's got access to a shit ton of boogeysand and who knows what other chemicals and things. I feel like she's obviously got some relation to Hypnos (god of dreams) and gets an Arachne blessing at some point. Wydowna catches Twyla trying to shoot her black webs and climbing and offers pointers and makes bun a mask to help keep her identity a secret. She has a lot of dreams that overlap with others' dreams and this gives her clues of something afoot! Twyla hops in and out of the dream/shadow pockets and realms and helps many beings along the way! Sometimes ghouls will even see her webs in their dreams or in the waking world going into shadows or springing from the shadows.

At least she got a pink fro variant for her dance class lurk. It would have actually been even better if her dance class hair had two little puffs like her regular hair length🥺!!!!!!

Not to sound like an older sister, but OMG the heart attack these damn kids probably were giving their parents plsssss! I mean I'm more stressed for the siblings not dying, but still! Howleen ghoul you did NOT need all that electricity to light up your "HOWLEEN" sign! Clawd why are we leaping off the top of Monster High roof face first into a shallow fountain to enter a game show that has no survivors??? Chasing cars was dangerous enough! Clawdeen getting flewed out to Scaris after her flash mob went viral is pretty fantastical. But then getting kidnapped by an evil white ghost lady and THROWN IN A CELL nobody knows abt and then still speed running a fashion show after breaking out??? And then I'm just now finding out some teacher kidnapped Widowna and the Headmistress and kept them in the attic at one point???

Honestly you can tell even somebody working on the 13 Wishes boovie hated what Mattel was doing with Howleen's hair bc they still added in the scene at the very end saying Howleen genuinely liked her old self/hair shown in her reflection. It's like brief images of howleen in that mirror scene, but it makes all the difference. It contradicted the design change of the entire boovie. It took me a while to really love 13 Wishes bc I didn't even recognize Howleen. I was like maybe 12 watching this movie for the first time and I hated her "new look." I was even turned off of Twyla bc I didn't like when she said she loved Howleen's new look. Twyla should've been black idc idc let black kids have black friends ffs. It literally reminded me of my white "friends" in middle school telling me they want to see my hair straightened fuck that shit ewww!
