Perhaps it doesn't kill you, but being stabbed must at least still hurt, yes?
Brows furrow the slightest bit at the question- his mouth actually falls open. When was the last time someone asked him about his pain tolerance, asked him if something hurt, without the threat of removing a limb. Perhaps when he was younger, when people were surprised by him or maybe remembered that he still had human blood in his veins.
“Actually yeah. Hurts like a bitch, especially depending on where you’re hit.” Ribs breaking, forcing their way open, organs punctured- all in all, it isn’t a pleasant experience. Perhaps he’s just gotten numb to it, just like everyone else.
