Truth be told, when he barks his demand, he has no idea who Leon is. He doesn't recognize him from the sound of his voice, chit chatting with someone and fully blocking the path to the door, or from the back of his head. He's just trying to get to the front door so he can light up a joint and smoke in peace without getting kicked out of the upscale event and getting chewed out once word got back to his father.

When he turns around, however, Nikolai recognizes him. Fuck. Goddamn space nut. He probably wouldn't have inserted himself in this confrontation if he'd realized. Not because he's intimidated; just because he thinks Leon is a wack job and an idiot.

He's well aware that he's powerful. Maybe just as powerful as the Agapovs. But, Nikolai's family got their power through skill and intimidation. Not peddling woo woo bullshit fairy tales to looney bin freaks.

He’d been sent to slaughter the former pilot, as this was one of TALON’S high priority targets, after all. What he hadn’t anticipated was for her to immediately turn the encounter into an interrogation, prompting a momentary hesitation as his raised hand tentatively begins to lower– having lifted to pull unseen gravitational threads taut, yet now falling to his side listlessly as the TALON agent drifts in a lazy circle around her, assessing.

He will never admit it, but West’s heart nearly skips a beat when this woman states something so obvious, so...private that he can’t help but flinch ever so slightly. It’s the most vulnerable he’s ever felt, and he doesn’t quite like it, as evident by the way his teeth are bared ever so slightly before he snaps himself out of it.

Calm. She said she wouldn’t talk...but who could he really trust in this day and age anymore? Especially where the wrong move, the wrong word would get him killed.
