I mean I would go so far as to say that it's BECAUSE Eddie's repressed that he's good in bed. He is so disconnected from his own ability to want or desire anything that his ONLY move is to pull out all the stops for his partner so that he never has to be connected to his own body. Which isn't to say that he doesn't enjoy sex, but I think what he enjoys most is his partner's enjoyment. He's like the most extreme version of a service top. He can't even get off unless the person he's with is losing their minds. IMO.

i think ‘for a time’ is a beautiful phrase. it is upfront about being fleeting, unsettled. it isn’t meant to stay, and because of that there is a care held to that time. i will live there, for a time. it’s a promise easier to keep than forever. we were friends, for a time. our lives weren’t meant to be intertwined forever, but we had a time when we both changed each other. we wouldn’t be the same without that time. she loved me, for a time. i will always cherish that love even though again we weren’t meant for forever. and maybe i have commitment issues for everything, but i don’t dream of the same place for years upon years upon years. i dream about a place for a time. then i keep it in memories, and that place doesn’t become a prison. and that such a wish can be understood and granted comforts me
