i used to think spamton as an addison (addispam) was probably an incompetent salesman, thats why he cant get any sales, right?
but after chapter 4 came out with new addisons' dialogues referencing spamton's sales speech link , and in chapter 2 they said spamton was just like them, the only difference was he was 'a little unlucky'. the addisons seem to be the type to make comment on it if addispam truly lacking in skill, but they didn't... it makes me think... wouldn't it be a lot more terrifying if addispam is just as competent as any addison, he got everything right but still couldn't make any sales simply because that's how his fate supposed to play out. he will always fail. he must fail. he must be desperate. he must pick up that phone. he has no say in how his fate will turn out, no matter how much he struggle. he can never amount to anything without a puppeteer to pull his strings. 'no one can choose who they are in this world'.
spamton's story can easily be translated into real life, for example someone who has a brilliant mind, but was born into proverty and has no access to education, or someone who is very good at their job but couldn't land into goood paying job due to nepotism culture... no matter how competent spamton is, he will always fail because fate is against him from the very start. every single tragedy in his life is predetermined in order to set thing in motion. without everything that happened to him, there would be no insane puppet selling the thorn ring in an alleyway, wouldn't it?
