Just another reminder to writers to change the publication date on your fics to 30th September so they don't get lost in AO3
Putting out my usual reminder that I will be live blogging tonight - so if you would rather not read my reactions - which is likely to be incoherent screaming for the most part - please feel free to mute the #kym watches live which I used during airing and then #911 spoilers which I use for at least 24 hours after the show!
Let’s go!!

Things for RP partners to know or whatever this is called
Here is a nice picture of Yvon just for illustration purposes.
I like to be called: Rowan
My favourite colours are: Blue-greens, gold, purple
Gender: Male
Things you should know about me:
I take things pretty slow. I much prefer long-form roleplay and to talk on discord rather than shorter and more immediate stuff, though it’s also fun to do some in-game and events from time to time, whatever is most appropriate for the mood.
It also takes me a while to get to know people, I don’t always feel up to chatting every day and prefer to take things easy. I can be a bit reclusive.
This probably makes me seem intimidating and difficult to get to know, but it’s just because life is tough, like many people I have mental health stuff going on and I only have so much energy - that said, it’s very important to me to be considerate, patient and understanding; to communicate clearly with people even if it’s not necessarily frequent, and I am deeply passionate about my interests, my art and my characters.
Additionally, even if it takes a while, it’s important to me that I get to know someone pretty well before we consider roleplay, so we can discuss what we want out of it. There’s always some spontaneity in RP, of course, and that’s exciting, but I want to be sure our goals and interests are compatible, and maintain an atmosphere where either party can speak up if they’re not satisfied with something, without any hard feelings. I appreciate it when people are polite but honest and I aim to be the same.
I want to meet other creative people and talk about what we do, about ideas and processes and so on, to form a connection more than I want to find roleplay specifically.
Things you should know about my muse(s):
I know a lot of people say this, but I really do put a lot of myself into them and they’re extremely important to me. Yvon is definitely the most similar to me as a person, but all of them are heavily informed by my own experiences in life, as well as other people I’ve known, and all kinds of things I find interesting: history, fiction, culture, I have a lot of influences and there’s a lot of care and attention that goes into them.
There’s a lot of delving into psychology and some pretty heavy themes at times. Many of them are the types of character who would be typically antagonists or at least anti-heroes in a story, but don’t always think of them as villains, more like just real people with a lot of complexity.
I’m somewhat selective about what I do with them, but I do appreciate the opportunity to put them in new situations where appropriate, because it helps to form them as people just as a variety of real life experiences do.
First Language: English
Second Language: None I can speak or write fluently, though for the sake of interest I’m learning Japanese and can read some basic German and French.
Age Range: I'm over 25 and prefer to interact with people who are 21+, preferably closer to my age or older.
Am I okay with NSFW?: yes | no | depends I enjoy a variety of NSFW content, sex and other mature themes, and I will not shy away from writing this out in detail because I think it’s interesting and informative to explore. That said, I am selective about who I do this with and who my characters get involved with in terms of relationships. With the right person I’m down to talk about it, but I’d prefer it not to be expected of me.
My favourite/most common thing to roleplay is: angst | fluff | smut | crack | action | plots | darker themes | other | I enjoy stories about people. That can cover a pretty broad range. Sometimes it’s light-hearted, sometimes it’s pretty dark and as stated above I like tackling mature themes in various forms, violence is fine where appropriate, there’s not much that is strictly off-limits on that end, though it should be discussed OOC beforehand. I’m not really into “crack”, though, or stuff without much of a driving force behind it - I would say plot but there doesn’t necessarily need to be a plot so much as... an engaging factor? I’m completely down to roleplay two people just going about their daily lives or sitting down and having a conversation if there’s something interesting to explore in terms of their personalities and dynamic, for example.
I’m also potentially interested in more experimental or abstract writing, explorations of character in which not a lot of “action” technically happens... this isn’t something I see much in roleplay because it’s hard to pull off, but basically I’m just looking for interest and intrigue and depth. That could be a more straightforward realistic scene, or something a bit different to the usual fare. Basically I like to look for various ways in which I can collaborate with others in art or writing, and this can take a lot of forms.
It may take some planning but I’m also down for AUs and other original stuff, I do have one for my characters already which is best described as urban fantasy (based on playing them in the Sims and Shadowrun).
OC friendly?: I think this question is more appropriate for roleplayers in fandoms that are not as OC-focused as XIV, haha. I’m not really interested in RPing with canon characters so OCs are somewhat mandatory, though I don’t object to characters with relationships to NPCs or having them make minor appearances where appropriate.
RP blog: does contain ooc posts | doesn’t contain ooc posts | occasionally contains ooc posts | aesthetic | This isn’t really a roleplay blog so much as hub for documenting things. Some of my characters have their own blogs which compile original content and aesthetic posts.
Tagged: by @lheott ages ago (thanks!) and also saw a ton of people fill it out in various forms. Not gonna tag since I’m unsure who has done it but I like reading these.
