Thank you so much to all the people who added prompts and a huge thank you to all the writers who have submitted a Fic, I am so excited to read them all. It would be lovely if you could support the writers too by reading, leaving kudos and comments on their works.

I will be making separate posts for each of the fics starting from tomorrow so we can all go show love to the fics individually because I know its been a bit of a tough time for writers.

Writers - I would definitely suggest going back into your work and changing the publication date to today so it shows up correctly on AO3.

Just realised there were a couple of fics added to the Birthday Fic collection, I think maybe after the date (which is absolutely fine) because I didn't see them before or perhaps it was just my ao3 playing up.

An omegaverse story with some angst but with a happy ending and some bonus hot smut. Max is a little awkward when he is younger and isn’t always treated as kindly as he should be but Charles develops a friendship with Max. A friendship that Charles doesn't quite understand but he definitely feels a connection. Max has to move away and I don’t want to add spoilers but Max does come back and he’s confident and sexy. 

I love omegaverse when the alpha is desired not only for all the traditional alpha like qualities but for his kindness and Max is definitive a sweet, kind alpha here. So if you enjoy omegaverse and haven't had a chance to check this out then maybe give it a read.

This story has a mixture of real life and mythology with Charles having to step into the underworld to save Max. It goes back and forth between flashbacks and the present day. It’s a unique concept I have never read before which is fun and has lots of references to music and greek mythology.

It’s an ongoing wip with a couple chapters left to go so we will have to see if Charles can save Max!

I love it when multiple drivers are down bad for Max and that is exactly what is happening here. Plus we have a bit of an oblivious Charles, or at least he is oblivious at the start of the chapter!! It's an ongoing wip so it is going to be interesting to see how Charles reacts to the realisation that there are lots of people thirsting over his boyfriend.

I am always a fan of sugar baby Max and this comes with a nice twist because Max doesn't need a sugar daddy but that doesn't mean he doesn't wants someone taking care of him.

This is an ongoing wip with a really interesting start and I'm excited to see how it will go and to see if Charles can be the sugar daddy of Max's dreams.

This was a really fun and exciting first chapter of an ongoing wip. As the summary explains the omegaverse is suddenly real and I think there are definitely going to be some surprises for some drivers when they realise their designation.

The first chapter showed the drivers dealing with some new instincts they have, especially towards each other. If you love omegaverse then definitely check it out.

This is a high school au so we have teenagers Max and Charles which is actually super cute in my opinion. Max is the son of divorcees Nico and Lewis. There is a lot of angst early on and some very questionable parenting!

This is an ongoing wip and I am excited to see where it is heading, it looks like Max and Charles are going to have some tough times ahead but follow along to see what happens.

This one definitely has a lot of angst but it's beautifully written. It's tagged angst with a happy ending so I don't think there are any spoilers in me saying that there is a happy ending for them which I do appreciate because I can't always cope with a sad ending.

Definitely heartbreaking at times for Charles (we see the story through his pov) but I think also shows how a pressured career can put stresses on a relationship if the communication isn't there.

This was definitely angst with a happy ending which I love and which always works so well with soulmate fics. The fic is primarily from Max's point of view and his point of view is heartbreaking at times, I don't want to add spoilers but at times I could cry for him.

It's beautifully written with lots of tension and an emotional rollercoaster. There is also some soft Lestappen and some humour in here too which works really well. If you've not checked it out yet then definitely give it a look, especially if you love soulmate fics.

No problem at all anon, I can add it to the collection whenever it is done. I actually am still writing one of the prompts that I know I am not going to finish in time so you are not alone 😂

I was thinking about potentially leaving the prompts open incase people want to fill them after the fest or alternatively setting up a Lestappen prompt list where people can put their ideas and any authors can feel free to take them as and when. Just not sure if that already exists or would be useful. I will have a think

If you haven't had a chance to read this one yet then I completely recommend it, I haven't been able to stop thinking about since I read it. It features Merman Max, the writing and world building is perfect and the story takes you through all the emotions.

I don't really want to go into spoilers but seeing the way Max and Charles were able to build trust and communicate was so beautiful. Max's emotions were brilliantly captured without words. A perfect fic.

This one is a very cute little fic. We get a jealous and confused Charles who may be trying to hold it together but isn't doing a very good job of hiding his jealousy. There is also some lovely adorable moments with Leo who as always is a little star.

This one features oblivious omega Max which I know so many of us love. Not only that but we have Kimi being an absolutely adorable alpha who just really wants to court the most beautiful omega he has ever seen (and who can blame him). Of course Charles might have something to say about that!

This is funny and cute (with a touch of heartache for poor Kimi, but I am sure he will be okay). I won't go into spoilers but I loved Charles' realisation and poor Max who just doesn't know the effect he has on people.

Today's fic in the spotlight is the wonderful Male Fantasy by drivingstuff.

Charles is a driver for Scuderia Ferrari. His life is orderly and clean; micromanaged by his physio, his PR manager, his manager, his mother. No scandals, a bright smile and white sheets. He’s straight, because everything has to stay in its place.

One day, he meets Max. 

Max is a gay porn star. His life is chaotic and dirty; managed by sex and drugs, by producers and clients. Only scandals, a crooked smile and sheets stained. Nothing in his life has ever stayed in place. 

One day, he kissed Charles.

The story features porn star Max and F1 driver Charles. It's hot (as you would expect) with some great smut but there is also some really nice tension throughout. The characterisations are really interesting and have some nice depth to them.  This was such a fun take on the prompt.

It also had a mention of Max in a backwards cap and from that moment on I was hooked haha!
