highly doubt it, but im seeing people doing promstuck in california and regular homestuck meets- would you ever consider running another event? O:
hey! I'm so glad people are still doing promstuck that's adorable LMAO
honestly I answered this a few years ago but it's still basically the same- yes, I would love to run a Reunion Tour Promstuck, but it's a funds issue. Full disclosure, when I was running Promstuck in college, it was because I had a huge lump sum of college money I could take $10,000 from to secure a venue and pay myself back a few months later. (Yes this was probably a bad idea in retrospect and it's a good thing it worked out, but you know, that's what you get for handing a 19 year old over $100,000.) I no longer have that kind of funding to put a down payment, and while we did the last one on advance ticket sales, it was harrowing as fuck and not knowing if we could secure the venue was terrifying for many, many months. The other issue there was we were told by Hussie's team that we weren't allowed to do a kickstarter/crowdfund for the event due to Homestuck Restrictions, so there wasn't really a way to get that kind of cash in a lump sum, leaving us a bit dead in the water.
So essentially, to run a big ol NYC Promstuck Reunion Tour, I'd either need:
Someone who owns a venue to support a couple hundred people that would let us use it for free for one night, or
Something in the realm of someone giving me $10,000 I could use to secure a venue and being cool getting that money back after the event (or, possibly, not all that money if it's not as popular as I would imagine it would be).
If you're one of those two people- hit me up! Fully I would LOVE to do another event, I'd be SUPER down to donate my time and organization to make this happen, I just. Need one of those two things LMAO. But thanks for asking anon!!
