A bloodmary SPN AU has been rattling around my brain with the worms these last few days…..
-Simon “the butcher” a hunter from Eden
-His group Eden works trying to protect the last tree by killing monsters—a relic that’s said to be the only thing that will save humanity when the apocalypse comes
-lately things have been getting weird…there have been odd movements from a coven where people are going missing
-Simon is chosen to investigate the coven
-he finds the coven. He slaughters the group and makes his way back to Eden base.
-But there’s a survivor hellbent on revenge and everyone around knows Eden only cares about one thing—the tree.
-things go wrong. Very wrong. 62 people dead in an explosion wrong. The tree dies.
-Simon is exiled from the only family and life he knows. He was careless and made a mistake. Told to go and find a way to repent and bring back what is lost.
-Simons heard the rumors from other hunters…if you go to a crossroads and strike a deal with a demon you can have any of your desires granted
-He goes. He pleads his case. His soul and an eternity of damnation for the last tree. The Demon tells him he has 24 hours before the hell hounds come for him.
-Simon was hoping for more time. He just wanted to live, what was so wrong with that?
-He makes his peace. It’s fine. It’s not like he didn’t know he would have an early grave and where he’d end up after that.
-The hellhounds come. They tear him to pieces. He dies alone with no one to comfort him as he’s dragged to the racks.
-He spends decades being tortured in ways he never knew were possible. But it’s worth it. The tree is alive.
-But then there’s an uproar in hell. Simon can’t make heads or tails of it but the next thing he knows he’s crawling his way out of the unmarked grave some poor bastard buried him in with his heart beating and an arm that’s been ripped clean off.
-He can’t figure out what happened. He knows none of his brothers would have made the deal to save him. Knows his father would never.
-Enter Grace and his weird Rock friend. They say they’re angels from the stars above and are responsible for his rescue
-Grace looks like a normal dude, goofy even maybe. Definitely doesn’t fit the angelic vibe he imagined, even if he did believe in them.
-The “Rocky” is a weird beast that only speaks in clicks and trills. Grace says it’s the angel language and that rocky prefers to be in his celestial body.
-“humans gross and leaky”
-They keep following Simon around??? They refuse to leave him alone. They keep apologizing about the arm saying that they didn’t have enough power to rebuild everything.
-Grace is weirdly normal for a supposed angelic being. He eats ramen, sings showtunes, and wears glasses but clearly has never seen a human that’s worn them before because they’re always dangling from his ears or chewing on them rather than on his nose
-Simon doesn’t believe for one minute that “angels” decided to save him. He’s still on the rack drowning in blood. This is some weird psychosis that eventually will just turn out to be part of hells games
-Grace also seems to think that Simon is the best thing ever? Which is odd. He’s always smiling and laughing and touching Simon
-Grace tells him he’s been pulled from Hell to do a mission. There’s a new monster out there and its only goal is to end humanity as inhumanely as possible. By taking the stars, sun, and moon so that everyone freezes and starves to death
-Queue shenanigans with the trio tracking down and attempting to save earth
