So uh. Why were half of the episodes of season 2 Severance just a complete waste of time? I feel like one episode did or said anything and the rest was mostly people walking around or staring at one another.

We had an entire hour long episode of people staring at each other in a cold environment all for Harmony to get some papers to prove she invented the severance system all for… nothing? Nothing happens with that. The entire integration thing was apparently for nothing after hours of the bare minimum happening with it? Nothing happens with that. Irving’s outie was doing years of research one the company and then just leaves because Love, I guess? Nothing happens with that. We have an ounce of development with Milchick that just kind of goes nowhere? Nothing happens with that. Sister’s husband was making a book for Severed people and then you never see him again. Nothing happens with that. They severed a character 25 fucking times and no one who learns about it even ASKS WHY.

Mystery in a story line is good. Fun, even. But I can count on one hand the amount of progression of the story in this season and most of it still ended up being NOTHING.

And don’t even get me started on the fucking still shot bleed out canned ham throwback to a JOKE of old tv ending. Like. People do that now as a joke. Because it was goofy when they did it back in the day. Everyone agreed it was goofy bad. It’s not the kind of homage you put in what I thought was a generally serious show. But what do I know.
