.... SS BAND AU lemme hear ur hcs

OH BOY here we go. Disclaimer I’ve never been in marching band, only strings, so I only know what I’ve heard from friends.

Seth is the very tired and overworked band instructor. He’s actually the string orchestra teacher and was only meant to direct for a semester after the old band teacher quit due to an ulcer, but they still haven’t been able to get a replacement.

Ephraim is a percussionist and Innes plays sousaphone. Lyon is actually a clarinet in marching but oboe in concert for the big dick energy. He’s BIG SWEATING a little nervous because Tana is a freshman who just auditioned and is already second chair.

Ephraim, Lyon & Innes are also their respective section leaders and keep getting into pointless fights. Ephraim commonly overheard telling them to “meet him in the pit.”

Eirika is drum major but she spends more time dealing with troublemakers than her actual duties. Very tired. Tries to pretends she’s not related to Ephraim sometimes. Would like to quit but can’t find anyone else willing & able to do the job. Commiserates with Seth over boba. Dating the color guard captain.

L’Arachel (the color guard captain) is a great captain, but is always getting in trouble for pretending her fake rifle is a real rifle and making “pew pew” noises with it, and also challenging people to duels with it, which apparently has freaked out a few soccer moms. Friendly and sociable but also scares the rest of the band a little.

I’m not saying Camilla isn’t sexualized, but the point I’m trying to make is she’s a character past her outfit. When people demonize her or chalk her up to base traits and make her out to be a one-dimensional chracter JUST because of the way she looks, they’re contributing to the sexualization.

There are people who won’t give her CHARACTER the time of day because they see how she’s dressed and decide what she is based on that, alone. That’s making the sexualization worse. I don’t condone what they’ve done with her design, and how she’s used as fanservice in the game, but there are things we can do to at least lessen how the creators have treated her. We don’t have to let her design get in the way of understanding her character and seeing her for that.

As @theklutzygeek said in their tags on the post, Camilla is more than just her tits. When you choose not to look past that and see her story and complex character, you’re just making her sexualization worse.

may i ask what school you go to? it seems interesting and just fun enough for me to try to get into ^^

Savannah College of Art and Design.  It has a good diverse selection in stuff to major in that’s art related like film, illustration, sequential art, storyboarding, animation, music, theater, fashion, etc. Its also very expensive like most colleges, its good to take AP and college credit classes in high school to opt out some gen ed classes or go to a community college for that and transfer credits and apply for scholarships.

I actually just got Jeorge today, but I haven’t used him yet.  Its hard for me to trade out a character on my team who’s already passed lvl 30 for a lvl 1 character.
