I'm going to temporarily slow down on forcefemming linux users to instead forcelinux trans people. My girlfriend still uses windows. When I come over to her place I'm going to show up with an installation media and use my feminine charm to make her install linux
Doesn't it suffocate you? How it seems like the only two options are Windows and Mac? Windows and Mac. The dichotomy between Windows and Mac.
But neither Windows or Mac are truly for you. There was once a time you were okay with using Windows, but you know that time is long gone. And to switch to Mac? You don't really want to switch to Mac either.
We both know Windows and Mac aren't for you. Switch to Linux. Customize your own experience the way you want it. Flash that iso and plug in that USB. Right fucking now. Do it right fucking now.
you want to turn your pc off? you can just open a terminal and type poweroff. no ceremony or bullshit or patronising or forcing updates and actually rebooting even though you told it to shut down, no long ass spinner, no "uh oh!! oopsiess you have this program still open...." its like okayy then its a black screen like a fraction of a second later
dont like how something looks? you can change it
want a specific button combination to do something? 5m change max
dont want a fucking copilot button on your laptop dedicated to using a shitty ai tool you didnt ask for? gone baby!! i can bind that shit to pull up images of lovely seals instead
like yesterday i finally set to do something id been dreading and trying to set up face ID with my ir webcam so i didnt have to type my long ass password all the time, and it took all of 10 minutes, and 6 of those minutes were installing the package to do it
I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're refering to as forceLinux, is in fact, forcefem/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, forcefem plus Linux. forceLinux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning forcefem system made useful by the forcefem corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full tgirl as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the forcefem system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of forcefem which is widely used today is often called forceLinux, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the forcefem system, developed by the forcefem Project.
There really is a forcelinux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. forceLinux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. forcelinux is normally used in combination with the forcefem operating system: the whole system is basically forcefem with Linux added, or forcefem/Linux. All the so-called forceLinux distributions are really distributions of forcefem /Linux!
(disclaimer below the cut)
In case it wasn't clear, this is not my personal opinion, but rather me making a meme. Forcelinux and forcefem are allowed to exist separately, and the statements I made above are not necessarily true. This post endorses neither forcefem nor forcelinux, but it doesn't discourage them either. Thank you for reading the disclaimer.
seeing my parents tomorrow and dad has given me permission to change his windows laptop to a linux, so i am now using one of our laptops to do a clean install of debian 13 and see how windows-like i can make it. so windows-like my 74 year old dad can use it without problems
