ashe: the palette, with the context of ashe who is a mostly green character, made me think of like cake with strawberries for the cream and red, but i couldn't think of an interesting composition for ashe holding a cake, so i just made him surrounded with frosting 😭 i'm sorry it kind of looks flesh-y because of the red shading, i couldn't fix it😭😭
claire: this palette gave vibes of like... tragic and partly determined, partly resigned finality, like a sun that knows it must set but clings to the light. considering this, i considered drawing the ending of bonus stage, because it's basically the exact same vibe i just described, but i didn't really want to redraw a CG for this challenge since i wanted to come up with my own composition so i just tried to evoke a similar feeling with her expression and by showing the sun set behind her. (i kept thinking of a line from "the watcher" by xandria - a song which is very WH-coded - "the nightfall has come so early, wiping all of our visions away"...)
