Basically straight actresses suck at kissing women on cam. The way lesbian kisses are portrayed in tv feeds into the myth that lesbians don’t really have a sexuality. There are two kinds: the lesbian comfort kiss (eg Willow and Tara on Buffy) and the straight girls kissing kiss, eg Santana and Brittany on Glee. Lesbian comfort kisses are an abomination. Straight girls kissing is just silly.
Good examples of proper make out is Pam and Tara in True Blood, and all the Alice kisses from The L Word. This is always annoying me. Grump.
