STORYTIME. Y'all may remember that I made a wooden scimitar with a leaf motif - named #Foremother - a while back. (It was one of my top 9 posts last year, so I know some of y'all saw it.) Anyway, that was for @amytfalcone, a player on a D&D podcast/Twitch Stream I love called the "C" Team. When I sent it, I wrote a note apologizing for omitting the other players' weaponry, explaining that this one was all that made sense to me, since it's an organically-grown sword in the game. (D&D is good time) Anyway, they read the note during a stream, and @r_hartman24 - who plays the enormous Dragonborn - goes "you coulda made a wooden Toothbrush." (Toothbrush is the enormous Dragon Man's equally enormous sword.) Fuck it. Challenge accepted. The Toothbrush cometh. Got the blade fully cut and beveled today. Given the added difficulties of a Giant Fucking Sword, plus those spikey bits, that's saying a lot. Tomorrow is the Crossguard, handle, pommel, and final assembly. Which is all way more like what I'm used to. 👌 ▪▪▪ Please leave feedback and critiques in the comments!
