Norwegian singer songwriter Oda took our breaths away with her beautifully smoky yet delicately elegant voice on songs like So High and Robot Love two years ago. We’ve never quite forgotten how exquisite that voice is, nor how dreamy warm and intricately forged her music tends to be. Forever Or Never is a new slice of the songbird’s pop, with subtle synths and a fragile, gentle gracefulness. Thematically, Oda’s Forever Or Never is like Elohim’s Half Love. It explores the need to be loved thoroughly and fully, with a wispy yet potent sound that evokes the likes of Highasakite and Mr. Little Jeans, but with the more gossamer and finespun allure of Billie Eilish and some of Lykke Li’s more tender offerings. Forever Or Never can be found on Spotify, here. You can also listen to Oda’s prior releases on Soundcloud, here.
