                     “i’m here, i’m here--” it probably isn’t the best idea to be announcing her arrival when she isn’t even that far from the manor yet but the duke’s daughter just needed to make sure her friend knew that she wasn’t being ditched on such an important occasion. “i think congratulations are in order, don’t you?” she stands back, arms stretched out at her sides as she spins once then claps. “can you believe i managed to sneak out wearing this?” and by ‘this’, she means a chic, silky black blazer-shorts set. “i’m starting to think professional spy should be a good career choice for me.”

wooyoung could feel his heart racing in his chest. it was one thing to be friends and another to be something more. what if she didn’t feel the same way? would it also ruin their friendship? he cleared his throat as he sat beside hayoon. “mmm, hayoon-ah, did you .... um ... did you want to go to that new restaurant that just opened up with me? we’ve been studying for a long time and i’m pretty hungry. i figured you might be too.” he internally scolded himself, wondering how that even sounded remotely romantic. well, she couldn’t really say no at least, right? he could just save asking her to be his girlfriend for the end of the meal so it didn’t ruin their appetites in case she rejected him.

                it  had  been  about  a  month  since  ara  had  confessed  her  love  for  ryan.  when  she  had  built  up  the  confidence  to  finally  say  it.  ryan  wasn’t  ready  to  yet.  he  didn’t  even  know  how  he  felt  at  the  time,  but  ara  was  confessing  that  she  loved  him.  he  didn’t  know  what  to  say,  so  he  just  tried  to  avoid  the  conversation.  he  really  did  love  ara,  but  he  wasn’t  ready  yet.  his  inability  to  commit  fully  was  stopping  him  from  saying  he  loved  her  too.  

          but  here  we  are,  a  month  later,  ryan  at  ara’s  doorstep,  a  bouquet  of  flowers  in  hand,  waiting  patiently  for  her  to  come  to  the  door.  this  way  he  can  confess  his  love  for  the  other,  finally.  he  didn’t  know  how  she  would  take  it.  but  he  needed  to  get  it  off  of  his  chest.

     🌷       a  heart  shaped  ring  revolves  around  initial  digit  ,  believing  that  if  they  didn’t  make  eye  contact  ,  the  other  wouldn’t  recognize  her  from  across  the  restaurant  .  seconds  that  felt  like  hours  passed  before  attention  refocuses  on  her  date  across  the  table  .  did  they  not  notice  a  sudden  lull  in  reaction  ?  sunhee  takes  a  sip  of  her  water  ,  nodding  politely  despite  being  miles  away  from  the  topic  .  she’s  nervous  ,  far  too  nervous  and  it  irks  her  that  sharing  even  just  a  room  could  bring  about  this  feeling  .  for  whatever  reason  ,  doe  optics  stray  again  and  this  time  her  curious  glance  is  met  .  a  jolt  struck  through  her  heart  ,  knee  bumping  the  table  accidentally  .   “   sorry   ----   i’m  sorry  !  that  was  ...  i  dunno  what  that  was  actually  ...  i  ...   iiii   ----  bathroom  ,  i  think  ?   ”   yeah  ,  leaves  dumbfounded  company  as  she  rushes  towards  the  women’s  room  ,  as  fast  as  heels  could  take  her  ,  anyway  .  but  . . .

        her  name  ....   pretty  brunette  ignores  the  call  ,  even  when  its  impossible  to  ignore  from  a  few  steps  behind  .  she  goes  to  push  the  door  open  ,  pausing  when  a  hand  reaches  for  her  bare  shoulder  .   “   of  all  the  places  .....   ”   muttered  under  breath  ,  usual  sweet  tone  now  bittered  as  she  turns  and  faces  them  .   “   ermm  ...  i  think  ya  got  it  wrong  ...  i  don’t  know  who  you  are  ...   ”
