It’s been a year today since the world lost someone truly special. It’s been a year since the Star Wars community as a whole lost its princess. Carrie was stubborn, she was beautiful, intelligent, headstrong, she battled negatives in life with humor and dignity. She never did shy away from her demons and inner turmoil, she spoke about it and that’s something not everyone does. She was one of the most brilliant people I’ve ever had the honor to meet. I remember the day I met her, I was young and depressed. I went to a celebration years ago. I wasn’t too happy with my life. I don’t want to get too into detail as it’s rather personal, but I’ll just leave it at the fact that she saved my life that weekend and called me her space twin for the weekend (I had went as a young Luke). On Sunday, Jan 8, at @sacanimeofficial, wear a white ribbon over your heart or around your left arm in memory of Carrie Fisher. The ribbon tribute is not limited to just Star Wars cosplayers. Everyone is welcome to participate!
