he had finished a rather exhausting shift , and as much as he longed for heading home and crawling into his bed , he knew he had other things to do before that was an option. when his eyes landed on a familiar face , he offered the other a small smile. ❝ captain ruiz , ❞ felix greeted the man , following up with a slight nod of the head in his direction. ❝ always a pleasure to see you. ❞ that was , at least , when they weren't surrounded by misfortune. ❝ were you heading in there to see someone ? or were you on your way out like me ? ❞
