Wrapping up the basic construction on this Sweetheart size Cut & Sew dress. I’m going to add details in the pocket design using a different contrasting fabric I think… or maybe some lace… I haven’t decided! This base is using my “Honey Drop” plaid fabric which was inspired by a completely different doll in my collection. More Ordering Info... There has been some concern about the limit on orders for the new dolls. I also have concerns that people might feel frustrated in getting their order in (especially if there are glitches with order checkout again). So instead, there will be NO LIMIT on orders - it will stay open the full 2 weeks. However, fullset outfits and eyes will be wrapped separately from the nude dolls. Plum is all about comfort, and flash sales are stressful. I thought I’d give the cotton spandex jersey a try with my leftover cut and sew dress template. It works surprisingly well for a knit! Since the skirt is 8 x 3” you only need a swatch size of Spoonflower fabric for the charm dresses. What a lovely stack of new fabrics! So what am I doing making a plain white dress? 😆 This is a test of the Spoonflower organic cotton sateen for future custom fabric prints I am dreaming up. Although it is a bit heavier, I like the feel better than their cotton lawn and I think combined with other wovens could work very well. Yay!
