Today, the “Comment of the Day from Fëanor” surfaced on my feed again.
And you know what? It’s not a comment. It’s an oath.
You just log in to read a couple of lines — and log out already: — with fire in your eyes — with a sudden urge to forge three Silmarils — and mildly prepared to quarrel with half your relatives
Fëanor doesn’t write. Fëanor pronounces.
He could leave something simple under a sunset photo, like: “Beautiful.”
But no. It would be more like: “Light, once imprisoned within the crystal of will, now defiantly scattered across the heavens, reminding us at once of betrayal and of greatness.”
After that, even your cat looks at you with respect.
The real danger is that:
You start speaking in grand declarations.
You argue on principle.
And suddenly you’re ready to go into exile… simply because “it is the right thing.”
If you see “Comment of the Day from Fëanor” — close the tab. Hide your ambitions. Don’t stare into the fire for too long.
Otherwise tomorrow you’ll write something yourself that you’ll have to heroically answer for. 🔥
