I am amazed at how Stephen, a devout follower of Christ, a deacon, an apostle, never took offense from his opponents, the religious leaders. Even at some point in the dispute the opponents of Stephen “stirred up the people – seized him, and brought him to the council and eventually led to his murder, by stoning him. And even then, he was pleading with God not to charge those who stoned him with sin! Amazing! Fast forward to today's christianity, i am equally amazed that a little gossip, a little "snobbing" from a distance or a little action that is not according to our standards would make us feel "offended". A little post on social media would somehow make other believers react and judge easily, as if it is all about us! I am too, is guilty of such. This "offense" has been an epidemic in the churches today that grows like wildfire. Why? Because we are too busy focusing on people instead of focusing on God! I pray to be like Stephen, that even at the point of his death, still has the power to forgive and still has that power to love. #HolySpiritispower #lovepower #forgivenessispower #meeknessispower
