The Man Who Stole the Sun (Taiyô wo nusunda otoko) // 1979 // (Dir.) Kazuhiko Hasegawa

An original film with a "syncopated" pacing and an eclectic story telling style. It's a carefree yet thrilling (and even scary) ride.

Oh.. it's about a high-school teacher who builds an atom bomb at home..in Tokyo.

Highly recommended.

Does anybody else care about Evening Primrose? Not the oil like the film that Sondheim wrote for. I am genuinely so passionate about it, Anthony Perkins performance in particular and I’d really like to get a following for it going because it’s really something beautiful and it deserves to be seen.
