(Headcanon)
I imagine even thought Patty would act all tough and okay when Dante disappears after the whole. Demon tree spourting from the middle of the city thing. She would be secretly be devastated by it. She would firmly belive Dante would come back that nothing can kill that idiot, plus. Dante wouldn't want her to find him in the after life and kick his ass.
But sooner or later her mother would have to have that conversation with her. That maybe Dante isn't coming back. And throughout all of this, shes been visiting the office and cleaning it.
Until one day, its her last time coming to his office. Because she can only do so much cleaning until the place is spotless. Until the rent is no longer paid until the place is destoryed and made into something else. She shows up one last time. And there Dante laughing it up with Lady and Trish as if it hasn't been months since he was gone. And she is in shock and then that shock is quickly replaced with anger as she grabs the nearest object and chucks it at dante head. Until she breaks down sobbing dropping whatever she was going to throw at his head next. Just full on ugly crying about how she thought he had finally thought he had kicked the bucket.
All in all Patty Angst would kill me. And she such the person who would act like nothing is wrong. When she is actually worried sick.
