Oh, Cullen. I bet he’d be terrified of his kids joining the military.

@ma-sulevin I feel like it would be something he’d dedicate his life as a father to preventing. He knows his time in the Templars made him who he is, which was a gift and a curse in too rapid an order to parse out. He’d never want that for his children.

Of course, if they were absolutely dead set on it, he’d stand by them. If they came back with PTSD, he’d be there for them every step of the way, holding their hands in recovery. Because that’s just the kind of man he is. The kind of dad he is.

It was Cullen, Cullen asking her if she was alright… Like he was a nice man… Pretending he was a nice man… He was a former Templar… He was dangerous… But she could not get rid of him… That left one option… Wrapping him around her finger so he would never be a danger to her…“No…” She let the distress enter her voice. “No, I’m afraid I can’t…” She tried to get up and stumbled.

“I see.”

The Commander raised an eyebrow when he caught the upset tone of her voice. If she could not cope with the pressuring pace of their tasks, if she could not keep her mind clear it was going to be a problem. Whatever she had on her hand, it was their only chance to survive. But a sword is a poor thing if you have no control over yourself. Cullen assumed she hadn't any vague rudiments of self-healing, so he stepped forward:

"I must carry you to the healer in our camp. It is clear you cannot fight any longer."
