God, can you imagine the ninja showing up to the Never Realm 30 years later and Zane looks the same as before but now Jay's like probably as old as Ronin ??

Here's the thing, anon, because of the theory I've definetly had this whole time and totally didn't just create 10 minutes ago to fix the problem of old Jay, I have a theory that formlings just... don't age while in their forms. It would explain why Akita was seemingly young enough to flirt with Lloyd (stay away from him he bby) while still being around 12 when Zane showed up 30 years ago. 

So, for example, if Akita were to turn into her form while she was 15, and 5 years passed in her form, when she finally turned back into human she would still be 15. Probably have the mental age of a 20 yr old, but still 15. Like Lloyd with the aging-up tea but opposite- her human body stays the same, but her mind matures.

Now back to Jay. He spent around 3 years in the never-realm in the beginning with Zane, so he'll be ab 3 years older when finally snapped out of his wolf form, since he spent 27 years as a wolf, too mind-fucked to change back into human. 

So Jay's just a lot more traumatized and physically around the same age as Cole now :D
