so i just got a call from the specialist today and i have estimated my expenses for the appointment will be between $1200-1700 but i have until next year to save for that. but right now i am Fucked because i need to pay a $200 deposit but i am still in debt paying off my new phone cuz mine broke plus my credit card debts which were from paying bills. and basically the longer i put off paying the deposit the longer i have to wait for this appointment that will (hopefully) improve my QoL so i can like. hold a job lol. I need about $600 AUD to clear my debts and at least $200 for the deposit. If anyone can spare a couple bucks it would help me a lot. i know everyone is broke as fuck on here but my parents cant help me rn and im just trying to get back 2 being debt free asap so i can save up for this appointment. i had to quit my job cuz medical issues hence the appointment you know how it is. everyone on here got something wrong w them. I dont expect to get the full $600 but literally any amount will help.

Perhaps this is an obnoxious take on my part, but video games should, above all things, prioritize the ability of being paused. At any point. Regardless of whether it's during a cutscene, a special animation, or a time-based puzzle. You never know when you're gonna get a phone call, or someone will need you in another room, or you get a sudden urge to go to the bathroom, or you hear your cat licking plastic, or whatever. Other entertainment mediums like books, movies, and music can be paused whenever you want. Why do some games not give you the same luxury??

I think part of what is making young people lonelier, in discussing why they're increasingly isolated, is that they're so afraid of meeting someone who doesn't hold their same beliefs, and instead of being just core beliefs it is kinda ancillary shit.

It's actually okay to disagree even on social topics! Even on some political ones! But I mean, online you can start with "i love this mutual but they have a really bad/uninformed opinion about x media"

What really gets me about a lot of the transandrophobia on this website is the fact that people love to ignore that tons of trans men are also barred from sports, except for us its silently, theres almost no fight about it and no support for us.

This is Mack Beggs, a southern trans man. Mack is a wrestler who was forced to fight in the girls state championship which he had to fight tooth and nail to be included in at all. Even now when Mack fights on a mens team he engages in activism for mental health of trans youth and for other trans athletes and yet people have the audacity to come on here and say that transmasculine people contribute nothing to the movement. Have you ever heard of him? Or was it such a quiet modest celebration that you didn’t even know he existed.

And thats how it is with trans men. It is not better to be publicly shamed and harassed but being voiceless comes with its own struggles. When we’re allowed to compete in women's sports, something we shouldn’t be forced to do in the first place, it’s almost always under the condition that we are not taking testosterone. When we are competing in mens sports, if we’re not turned away at the gate for being a “woman” we face the physical danger of assault, sexual or otherwise, in the locker room. How can you call that privilege?

This post comes with no intention to invalidate anyone else’s experiences, only to uplift those of transmascs.
