Fueling the body before I train! 🏋🏾♀️ The other night I attempted to deadlift 205lbs. I got to 195lbs and that was my max PR for the night. I'll upload my videos to #IGstories if you guys are interested, just let me know. 😉 I walked away feeling a little defeated 😤, but here's what I learned: 1. Never do BBG week 7 legs before deadlifting thinking you would have enough energy to lift that heavy of a load. 2. My form has improved majorly, which means mobility and stretching in between sets has been 🔑. #formoverego 3. Start heavier on my pyramid. I started at 95lbs that evening and probably should've gone heavier so that I could save my energy for the heavier attempt. 4. Never give up! When some things get tough or you don't accomplish what you set your heart and mind to, don't give up. Just take a deep breathe, walk away, and think about what you learned. Everything you do in life has something you can learn from. If you can seek out those lessons and focus your thoughts on how to improve for the next attempt then you're already succeeding. But if you focus on the failure, you're never going to move forward. #forwardalways ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Just finished devouring this garlic shrimp, 🥑, quinoa bowl and green juice. Quick little tip: cook your shrimp with lots of garlic, Parsley, and @fourthandheart Garlic Ghee and it tastes almost as good as the shrimp on the North Shore. 🏄🏽♀️🌊 If you want fluffy quinoa, cook it 2 parts water to 1 part quinoa and for additional flavor swap out 1/4 cup of water for @bonafideprovisions in whatever flavor you order. 😋 #gofiteats ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'm heading out to @bayclubs to teach @bbg_yogicass deadlift form 🏋🏾♀️ and technique. Did I just find a training buddy at my gym?! 💃🏽 #whatsonyourplate my swole sisters 💪🏾?! (at San Jose, California)
