Fort Point Light, Penobscot River, Stockton Springs, Maine. The tasks for a lighthouse keeper are never ending. There's always something that needs upkeep.  Keeper Ernest Mathie wrote a letter to a the Maine Coast Fisherman newspaper in September 1956, complaining about how the weather was preventing him from painting the trim, by keeping him constantly mowing the lawn when the sun was out.
