Where to find Fortbyte #21 inside of a metal llama

We’re almost done with the longest series of challenge articles in Fortnite’s history. Fortbyte 21, found inside a metal llame, marks the 99th Fortbyte. Only one more to go.

Fortbytes have been an interesting experiment for us players and Epic Games. They’ve introducing daily objectives without the need for specific rewards, but rather an overarching set of milestones.

We’d say Epic Games has succeeded in developing a long term challenge system that feels like a solid grind which properly rewarded. As we near the very end of Season 9, the last two Fortbytes await.

Fortnite Fortbyte #21 Location – Inside a metal llama

While Season 9 will end up being among Fortnite’s longest seasons, it’s unbelievable how quickly we’ve come to the end. We swear it was just yesterday when the Slipstreams entered the island and we entered Neo Tilted for the first time.

Oh well, that’s the way of the world. The second to last Fortbyte, number 21, tasks you with finding it inside a metal llama. Many of you will already know where to head as it’s a long standing monument in Fortnite. No additional Battle Pass items need be unlocked for this challenge.

As if our other recent Fortbyte guides, we’ll run the process down via a step-by-step list.

Jump into any Core mode or Team Rumble

Land at the location marked above

Proceed to enter the metal llama

Walk up two flights of metal stairs

Fortbyte 21 is located on the stairs

Pick up the Fortbyte

Success!

In addition, we’ve gone ahead and capture a small clip of our collection again. It wasn’t quite as easy as expected due to swarms of hungry players wanting to nab a few quick kills.

Epic Games seems to saving some of the more simple challenges for last as a treat for hardworking players. Other challenges have included puzzles or skydiving, but it’s nice to have a variety rather than a single type of challenge.

On July 17, Epic will release final Fortbyte and the long process of completing the encrypted image will be over. It’s been quite a journey and we hope to see Epic bring something similar into Season 10. We’d be surprised if they didn’t, but we’re also sure it won’t be a carbon copy of this season.

As a reminder, Season 9 will end on August 1st so you have until then to collect all these Fortbytes and finish out your Battle Pass.

Updated Fortnite Battle Royale Season 9 Fortbyte Image – Updated July 16

Season 9 of Fortnite Battle Royale offers exclusive collectible ‘Fortbytes’ which can be used to decrypt a mysterious puzzle image, and we finally are able to begin to see what the puzzle looks like!

Battle Pass owners for Fortnite Battle Royale Season 9 are able to search around the map for 100 collectible computer chips which will decrypt a “mysterious image”.

Each day there is a new Fortbyte that becomes available for players to locate.

So far we have only been able to acquire a handful of Fortbytes, but thanks to FortniteNews, fans can now begin to see the beginning of Season 9’s Fortbyte image.

As July 16, only one Fortbyte remains to be unlocked. Number 38 will become unlocked on July 17, but you can already see most of the image now. The Cattus monster’s eye is in the lower left and Kevin the Cube hovers in the upper part of the picture.

We’re pretty sure we also see the meteor which destroyed Dusty Divot to the left of the Jonesy’s left hand.

Only one Fortbyte remains!

The middle is covered by the Jonesy default skin climbing up a grey wall littered with pink and black spray paint in a graffiti-like style.

Is it possible that Jonesy could be reaching for Kevin the Cube?

In the lower left corner, there is a pink eye that looks similar to the huge eyeball currently in the middle of Polar Peak’s glacier.

If you look closely, Jonesy is also barefoot with a pink liquid covering his right foot.

Maybe this puzzle image is hinting towards a new event for Fortnite Season 9?

Where to find Fortbyte #29 underneath the tree at Crackshot’s Cabin

The final few Fortbytes will arrive across the next couple of days as we begin to wind down the Season 9 content. Fortbyte 29 sends players in search of Crackshot’s Cabin.

Many of Fortnite’s skins or characters have their own in-game living locations within the game’s official lore. These aren’t always marked in any particular way, but do appear in challenge clues from time to time. Crackshot’s Cabin is one such location.

You won’t be able to find the cabin on the map without knowing a little bit more about the character. Of course, you can also use our handy guide and map to get you the Fortbyte without hassle.

Fortbyte #29 Location – Crackshot’s Cabin

Crackshot, for those that don’t know, is the nutcracker skin from the Christmas holiday set. This’ll give you the idea to head towards the snow biome, but the clues sort of end there. We’ve got you covered with a more accurate location of the cabin.

No Battle Pass items are required to be unlocked for this Fortbyte challenge.

As with other recent guides, we’ll give you step-by-step instructions on how to receive Fortbyte 29:

Hop into any Core Fortnite mode or Team Rumble

Exit the Battle Bus in or near the snow biome

Head towards the cabin marked on the map

Head inside the cabin

Look for Christmas tree on the first floor

Pick up Fortbyte 29 from behind the tree

You’re done!
