It must have been a day or so since his wee and bearded companion had been set upon the Lord’s desk. The poor thing was still in shambles. His every fiber was stained and dirtied, there was hair missing, an eye taken by the waters of the ditch he was first found within, and a leg was barely holding on by a mere few stitches that somehow lived through the entire ordeal. It was once still moving, but with a terrible limp of course. Now, it barely did so. Artoirel assumed that whatever crafts that animated it has begun to wear down.
And so, this young Lord had not touched the pitiful display yet. Rather, he worked diligently to write out plans to rebuild what has been lost to this miniature Ramuh. As drawings were drawn and measurements were measured, Artoirel did take the time to gaze upon this small companion of his from time to time. That stern and judging look that was artistically replicated left him smiling, as well as the thoughts and love of both the original creator, those who had once loved him (and mayhap still do), and Errent’s as well. There were many reasons here as to why he wished to breathe life back into this would be primal.
“Mother, he says. I cannot deny this, although I am completely positive that no one else would believe him. There are so few that know and understand that side of me.”
A small chuckle escaped him as he recalled the small conversation that he had with the rising Astrologian when he first gave him Ramuh. He took a moment to pick up the old man, as well as letting a thumb brush lovingly over one of his brows. Errent was right in placing this primal’s care in Artoirel’s hands. Crafting was his forte, as it gave him a means as an easy break from his duties, especially needle crafts in particular. They were easy to pick up and set aside when he wished it.
And so the time finally came when his plans would be put to the test. The windup would be carefully cleaned and a needle would delicately weave new life into him with the precision of a surgeon. This scene and aura was a far cry from that which others have often seen of him. They probably wouldn’t believe this was the same man that often coldly closed himself off to others.
“Be patient. It will not be much longer ere Eorzea will once again tremble before your might.”
Another day passed, but this man was not the type to let his work pile up either. Nay, they would be properly done and taken care of, just as Ramuh was receiving as such. It wouldn’t be long before his work would be complete and the wee olde man would be as good as new. However, something important was missing, which left Artoirel deeply frowning. His companion was no longer moving and magick was a field that he wasn’t an expert in.
Before long, a certain dusk would find this young Lord approaching him in hopes of a means of an answer or path to take from here
