Holy Scriptures For The Day | The Almighty God

Last week, one evening, I was staring at the sun long enough, that I noticed a grey cloud crossing it- as though cutting the sun midway. I got all excited and snapped photos of it right away. I was correlating the visually appealing sun with a burger-bun, and began chanting ‘bun-sun’ in some random raga. That’s when my Amma quipped in, saying that my words of blabber (bun-sun) sounded like ‘Bunsen burner‘. (FYI, Bunsen Burner is a heating equipment used in science laboratories) Oh well, this statement by Amma sparked this summery post. On Sunday, it was scorching at 6 pm. Heat waves penetrated through the glass window, directly towards me. The fan was swiveling in its own tune; beads of sweat trickled down my glasses and there I was, vigorously swinging my notebook back and forth in one hand, while also sipping a glass of mango Tang in the other. A typical summer-evening, it was. I immediately felt the urge to paint a picture of the sun- the Mega Bunsen Burner. It took exactly 15-minutes to paint the bun-sun scenery I’d clicked earlier (I used watercolors). It was extremely satisfactory to capture this warm and dusky memory although it wasn't as perfect as expected. //Watching the big ball of fire retreat behind the fluffy clouds gives a sense of warmth in our hearts, which ironically cools/ calms us. It’s a feel-good thing, watching the same sun disappear in a different manner everyday. //Later, while digging into a file of ‘philes’, I came across this beautiful term- opacarophile. It means ‘lover of sunsets’. Are you also an opacarophile ?
