need someone who's into greek/mythology (idk a damn thing about its alphabet either) to help translate and decipher this poster because you can see there are so many hints and clues and hidden little things (pieces of dialogue, names, statue(s), color schemes used etc) very revealing of what might be in the movie, so. if someone feels up to it to reblog??

here' what i found (which are pretty basic elements easy to spot for a casual viewer but pretty fun to speculate over still):

Odysseus and Penelope : (the director/producer said in an interview they will have to team up at some point during the movie, to fight a threat together so i have a lot of hopes for them/slow burn)

-> the O+P and P+O on the top right corner are you kidding?? (one of them is heart shaped???!?? Odysseus ik your lovesick ass drew that - Fortiche is pretty well known for this kind of thing too, like Ekko/Jinx in Arcane) i'm guessing since there wont be any official romance (like i said, more like very slow burn, and its not a cen ) maybe fake dating to hide their alliance -which lead to the P+O, to show to others 'proof' of their romance?? -> Come back! dont know if Penelope of Sparta will be a stand alone IP - releasing into theaters, it'll have to succeed to the box office first before anything - , but if it is, then it would be fitting for Penelope to say this line to Odysseus.

other quotes : -> Talk to her! maybe an aftermath of a dispute between Penelope and Odysseus?? the way i see it, Penelope is going into this school with a mission, her wits and anger but alone. no allies, no friends; so i'm expecting some tension with her camarades at some point even 'undercover'. - and she better rock some shit up/shows emotionally/physically what Athens is doing to her country cough.. not like..cough Arcane..cough - and knowing the main screenwriter well. lets hope for the best)

-> Sick + no Peace : Athens lost the war to Sparta when a plague struck the city, which was then under siege. food for thought. -> Welcome to Athens (basic ass line so im reaching but Penelope being introduced/arriving to Athens mb?? someone is welcoming her to the school, and we see how well her poker face is by dealing with an official athenian ) -> I hate her - could be about anything and everything. im drawing blank here. -> All you broken 'Penelope talking abt the Athens imperialism and its joug on many -> Have you seen them with an eye symbol next to it?? no idea -> - Sea Curses just at the top of it: alright i'm not well versed enough in this so. yeah. idunno

characters mentioned : - Crabby! and Crabby No!; he's the one monster sent by Hera to attck Hercules and how he could be in relation to this story i dont have any idea either. - Circe : someone who will act as the set of 'things that keep O or P from returning home'?? - interesting that Deimos, Son of Ares and Aphrodite - war and love - and the personification of fear be in the main cast. Which could mean nothing. mmh. and just next to Circe too..mmh.

When those super Anti-Silco people talk about how scary, abusive and controlling Silco is with Jinx, but the only time we see him try to discipline her she flat out laughs in his face.

Suggesting she hasn’t been disciplined enough. Even when she goes out and murders and commits terrorism.

He is a bad parent, just not in the way you think he is lmao.

Animator Moïse’s Section On Ekko

I just really loved Moïse’s section on Ekko. Especially when we see that he has Ekko’s figurines in his home. 

While representation is always important - sometimes it can feel paint by numbers. A box to check. Do this and you’ll get this kind of thing. Soulless. Passionless. 

When there’s no passion behind it or in a lot of cases the people who are being represented on screen aren’t behind-the-scenes at all - you get something that doesn’t make you excited or really anyone excited. 

So, seeing this section made me so happy. I don’t know this animator and he was only part of the documentary for a few minutes, but I’m so happy for him and for us that he got to work on Ekko. That his ideas for Ekko were listened to and implemented.

Representation isn’t paint-by-numbers, so it should never feel like it is.

Again, I just really love this section.

Moïse talking about how Ekko is the kind of character he would’ve loved to see when he was a kid. 

To talking about how he did something different for Vi and Ekko’s first scene than what was originally planned, which changed the tone of the scene and even the character of Ekko.

How he wanted to work on Ekko and Jinx’s fight so badly and when he was put on that team, he was so happy.

To him using his son as a reference for Young Ekko’s movements. 

It just made me so happy.

I’m not saying this one animator is the entire reason why Ekko feels so real and is awesome - as the entire show feels so real and is beyond awesome. One animator doesn’t deserve all that credit - but clearly because Moïse’s work on Ekko being a focus for this section of Part III of Bridging The Rift, Moïse was clearly a big part in that spark of life for Ekko.

The big question is –

Sir, are you the one who convinced them to drop the Original Mohawk? And gave Ekko his amazing hair? Or at least suggested it?

If so, you deserve all the praise for Ekko. Everyone should be so fucking grateful to you. Riot should be beyond grateful to you.

If not, you still clearly deserve so much praise; and I’m glad Ekko had you in his corner and that you got to work on a character you clearly love and care about.

But also, could you point me to the direction of the person who did make/suggest they drop that awful mohawk?
