LUCIUS MALFOY ~ LAWFUL EVIL

Alice Fortescue - Neutral Good

A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. Neutral good can be a dangerous alignment when it advances mediocrity by limiting the actions of the truly capable.

Alice does not believe that she is above the law, but she does feel that the law is unjust a lot of the time and holds up values that are hard to dismantle, and as a result, thinks that sometimes people are better off disobeying some laws. She’d rather work within the limits that society gives her however, and does not want to upturn order completely, knowing that there are reasons behind many laws. Overall, she just wants to do good, and just tries her best to make the best decision that she can.

Sirius Black - Chaotic Neutral

A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. A chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from himself suffer). A chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it. Chaotic neutral is the best alignment you can be because it represents true freedom from both society's restrictions and a do-gooder's zeal. Chaotic neutral can be a dangerous alignment when it seeks to eliminate all authority, harmony, and order in society.

Sirius definitely has good leanings, but the most important thing to him is freedom, for himself and also for others, but only people that he cares deeply enough about. To earn this freedom, Sirius is practically willing to do anything, no matter what it takes and who gets in the way.

GASPARD SHINGLETON ~ TRUE NEUTRAL 

“A neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. He doesn’t feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most neutrality is a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil. After all, he would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones...They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. The common phrase for neutral is "true neutral." Neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion.”

In honor of my lovely brother coming over tomorrow to play D&D (finally), I decided it’d be fun to see where your character’s morality truly lies. I’m sure most of you have seen the memes of the moral alignment charts, so now it’s time to find out what those are all about.Take the test HERE as though you are your character, not as yourself. Then post on the dash something that shows off the results.

Write up a short description of the alignment, how that fits with your character (or how it doesn’t fit), and how that affects the way in which they interact with people and their environment. Or post a drabble/self-para that shows off your character’s alignment. Orpost an aesthetic/moodboard that emulates that moral alignment--you can bring in other aspects of your character in to the aesthetic/moodboard just be sure to include the alignment aspect. Or maybe just go through the Tumblr tags and snatch an aesthetic from there! Maybe a combination of the above? Or something else not listed. Get creative, and have fun! I will be posting an example on Ted a little later.
