Life was both easier and harder after the showdown with Kuvira. Republic City had all but been destroyed, and everyone was hard at work in rebuilding it. which was not a task easily done, seeing as how there was now a portal to the Spirit World right in the middle. Still, plans and decisions were left to the elders for now, and most everyone simply helped with cleaning up rubble.
Jinora helped as much as she could with the cleaning up, though every once in a while she would ditch the work for a while to take someone in to the spirit World, or simply to get some alone time with her thoughts. She warned everyone who came in with her about the dangers of the Spirit World, about how they must tread carefully in order to not get lost, or worse, and most listened to her, too amazed with the beauty to argue.
Now was one of Jinora's solo trips. The morning had been long and tiring, and simply the idea of spending lunch with her siblings made her groan. So instead she opted for the portal and was currently sitting under a vibrant leafy tree, her eyes closing with the intent to get some restful meditation in..
She opened her eyes some time later, and nearly fell over in shock. Before her was not the clear, vibrant sky of the Spirit World, but a thick, dense forest that was decidedly normal in color. The sky above was just as blue as the sky seen from the island, but she didn't know of a forest like this any where near Republic City.
Letting her shock pass, she stood, looking around carefully. "Spirits, I hope I'm not too far.." she muttered, before beginning to walk.
