I think episode 6 is really symbolic of how I feel about TVL (AMC) so far in that sometimes it's good (Lestat having a panic attack when confronted with his sexual abuse by his mom) and sometimes it's a bit WTF (Daniel and Armand beheading Louis and Lestat), and then some things I don't particularly care for (Claudia unable to find Madeleine). And like I think it's a shame that they didn't take the care with TVL that they did with IwtV because I think that this season could have been good, but it feels almost like production didn't really care anymore because they didn't build off what they already had in some respects (like how they handle Louis in this season).

That said, I'll keep watching because I'm curious wtf they're up to and I really want to see Sheila Atim agai, but I wish this season felt like a song that shifts from a minor key to a major key instead of one that feels a bit like we lost the melody along the way.

Seasons 1 and 2 were theater kid BS and season 3 so far is reality show BS, and while both appeal to me, I miss my theater kid BS vibe ngl even though I knew a tonal shift would happen. I just wish it felt like we were operating on the same level of quality

Didn't plan to watch it but got curious when I saw all the dramaz earlier today, so I watched the last about 20 minutes.

Have to say as someone who's in their 40's and have never had a serious relationship, there's something kind of sad? melancholy? about them meeting so late in life. I think about it sometimes, if there is someone out there for me and what that might be like and the older I get, the more it's kind of a bummer how little time with them I'll have if I do meet such a person. Though I'll admit 20 years is better than zero.

And like even if you meet young, there are no guarantees how things might turn out, and 20+ years together is nothing to sneeze at, but it just feels kind of cheap in a way I guess.

That said, I did like that Crowley and Aziraphale wanted to create a secular universe. I do agree there should have been a real kiss to make up for the messy kiss from season 2 and bring a closure to things, but you know this was also kind of in the whole super hell/the empty/etc...death genre we keep seeing on TV and so it doesn't surprise me that things turned out this way.

Saw the official YYH trailer. It looks like I'm going to have a lot of fun when I watch it next week. That said, kind of disappointed in the lack of Kuwabara, Botan, Keiko, and Yukina, but at the same time I understand the logic of not having them as much in the trailer since the trailer was trying to show us cool stuff and didn't focus on the earlier arcs.

Looks like they're going to do what OP's live action did where they kind of thread things together in a familiar but different way to make it flow properly for a live action shortened narration judging by the lack of the Genkai tournament and more of a focus on scenes from the Yukina arc.

Hopefully it'll all work out. So far I've not seen anything to deter me from watching it, but I'm also going into it with realistic expectations which helps

Saw the YYH trailer. I am hyped. But it looks like it's respecting the material and the vibe seems good. I know people are complaining about costuming and wigs but I honestly didn't even notice because I was a small child in the late 80's/early 90's so I'm like whatever the visual equivalent of noseblind to them is

Glad they didn't die. Wish we'd had an ending that was on part with the writing we had at the beginning of the manga. Will definitely read another Taizan5 manga.

Saw a Black Clover spoiler because it's apparently kind of controversial (understandably so), however, my initial theory in absence of seeing the full context of the chapter until Sunday, is that it likely relates back to the fact at least one of Asta's swords can store mana and release it, so presumably it could store anti-mana and release that. It might also have to do with being able to manipulate ki in conjunction with anti-magic/anti-mana. Anyway, I'll have a better idea later.

season 2 spoilers

I was writing a post about how Crowley is probably Lucifer (I'm sure this has been done to death, so apologies) and the post axed itself, so I'm going to respect the universe's wishes and keep this short:

He was in charge of the Big Bang, which implies he was probably the first chief archangel

He tried to do a tiny miracle with Aziraphale and their power was off the charts

He seems to be the only fallen angel in Hell

He clearly seems to have gone through something similar to what Gabriel's going through in season 2

The Satan in universe doesn't really look like the angels

I don't think anyone's mentioned Lucifer (although I might have forgotten a season 1 something or other)

In mythology, Satan is not always Lucifer, Lucifer can be one of the proto-Satans like Azazel

Anyway, I'm five eps into season 2 and this is what I woke up thinking about and needed to empty my brain
