Watching the second Dune movie and it's not actually holding me like the first one did. It's not putting me off enough to give up on it, but for some reason there's something very dragging about it but in a different way than the 1984 Dune drags itself to the finish line. Everything kind of feels like it's taking its sweet time. I wouldn't say I'm bored, but I wouldn't say it has my full attention either.

Like it looks MCU-ish but that's just modern scifi aesthetic at this point. Excited for the cast. Love them. Especially excited to see what NPH does with the material especially if he is indeed the Celestial Toymaker, which is a character I've wanted to see New Who bring back for some time. Doesn't look overly strobey, which is a plus, but it won't surprise me if I have to close my eyes while watching it.
Looking forward to reuniting with Donna. Looking forward to seeing Gatwa as the Doctor even though that'll probably be the last bit of the story.
Once again it's wishing Hori took a three month finale prep hiatus like everyone else hours

Still kind of thinking about Izzy's death. Like on one hand, it was kind of inevitable because they told us he kind of exists in this like classic Hollywood universe, which in turn means the instant he's true to himself, he must die. But on the other hand, as someone who grew up in an environment where I couldn't even come out to myself until my late 20's and even now I still can't fully be myself, there's something really disheartening watching someone embrace themselves, find a place to belong, become happier and healthier, and then just...die, you know?
Thinking about Claudia in the babydoll dress and locks in the rain onstage like Shirley Temple singing "The Sun Will Come out Tomorrow," both of them forever trapped as a child in cultural history (and Claudia literally forever fourteen)
