Because the last post was so sad, here a happy Piper pic. She's doing so well, I'm very proud with this rat. She's getting braver and more trusting every day. She's a real sweetie too.

Home therapy: snuggle time with the foster rats, Apollo and Creed. These boys were rescued from euthanasia at a lab, but their former owner didn’t have space and time for their enrichment. So I’m helping them get used to being ratties again.
I interrupt your usual content to bring you....
MY CUTE FOSTERS!
My sweet babies 💕
Here is a picture of the fosters on their way home! Shyguy is at the bottom and Goomba is at the top. 🥰
So far, no one has had a scuffle during intros 🤞🏻 there was some slight biting and puffing of fur, but nothing crazy. I’m really hoping it stays like this, because they should be good and settled by the end of the night at this rate, or at least by tomorrow!
There are secretly 4 rats on this picture. The sweet face is all Candy.
Still all four rats here, but Candy is the clear focal point. I was trying to get a good picture of Science at this point, but she was too interested in the phone and kept approaching and moving.
I love my sweet foster ladies!
Bubblegum and her sisters turned 2 today!
Happy birthday to my loves!
I'm trying to get pictures of the other two, but this is a start.
I haven't shared any awesome rat pics recently. I have gorgeous, sweet, amazing foster rats and people need to see them.
Candy is a sweet girl who used to hate people, screamed when handled and even nipped a bit. She's been coming out of her shell and decided she likes me, wants to see if other people are nice and that being curious and comfortable is a pretty cool way to live. I'm so proud of her. She loves Gerber puffs, running on a wheel, careful scritches, and her family of foster rats. She's shown no interest in training sessions.
Candy is nearly 2 years old and has been successfully fighting a recurring URI for most of the time I've had her. She might have it beat this time, or at least has beat it back really well. We used lots of antibiotics and nebulizer treatments to get here, but she's been symptom free for weeks! Given her previous behavior issues, health problems, and now her age, she has sanctuary status. That means I get to keep her and spoil her!
