We want to once again extend a huge THANK YOU to our community for coming through for us and helping so many pets when our air conditioning malfunctioned on Sunday. Sunday alone we celebrated seven adoptions, placed nine pets in foster homes, sent three pets to local rescue groups and were able to reunite two pets with their homes. These are a couple of the pets that are now in loving homes, either as foster pets or through adoption. Thanks to the support of our community, we ensured all pets in the impacted areas had a safe environment. Repairs to our system are still ongoing, so we are again asking for extra support by signing up for the #FosterRoster. Our shelter can fill up fast, and with space currently reduced the need for foster volunteers at the ready is even more important. We provide all the food and supplies foster volunteers require to care for a pet in their home, you just provide the love! #Repost @nashanimalcare ・・・ 🎶 I hope you don't mind that I put down in words how wonderful life is while you're in the world. 🎶 Our sweet, gentle Elton John is ready to be the star of your heart. 💖 He enjoys leisurely walks, tennis balls and peanut butter, and he is kennel trained. His true love language though is booty scratches; he'll even lean in to encourage more. Elton is our shelter’s longest term resident - he has been in the shelter’s care since August. Elton was rescued by Animal Control when his tether was wrapped around a hind leg, causing a severe injury. Thanks to our medical team, his injury is healed and he didn’t lose his leg! Elton has really blossomed at the shelter thanks to all the attention from staff and volunteers, and we know he deserves a second chance at a happy family. Elton adores people and would love a foster home where he can wait for his forever family to find him. 💙 . . . Elton John (Or EJ as he is nicknamed) is middle aged, neutered, microchipped, and weighs about 60lbs. He can be adopted directly from foster as well as visit the shelter for adoption events.
