I was thinking about last week’s episode of Vinland Saga and got curious who the English monarch was during this era and apparently his name was Æthelred and after a while people started to call him Æthelred the Unræd, which according to wiki means "'evil counsel,' 'bad plan,' or 'folly,'" though he earned it after he and all who knew him were dead so who knows how accurate that is. Actually in general his wiki page is an interesting read and leads to some interesting sources as well

Don’t be sorry. I just started this show tonight and I woke up my dog (who is very use to my fangirling/fanbitching that it doesn’t effect her at all) and was wondering if it got better. So to see people also having problems with the lack of character development helps make me stop wasting energy on this show.
The first few episodes were pretty great and then it just slowly slid into wtf wtf wtf. Such a missed opportunity given all the things they could do with the basic premise alone even if they chose to disregard events from the novel and manga
This kid's Jackie Shroff impersonation is spot on and it keeps amusing me
Duolingo:
Me:
"You cannot stop me. The Black Lion will finally be returned to its original Paladin."
Well, now, that's a bit awkward since that would be Keith.
Arlong: Do you know what the difference between you and me is? Luffy: Noses.
Well, he's not wrong
They're in Tennessee babbling on about curses but from what I could dig up (x), this was filmed in late February which isn't out of question for tornadic acivity. So less curse more early storm season.
