Our very own foul-ball here on tumblr, weaves his collection of poetry in “World Class Drag” where he walks through the dark streets of violence, war and loss, leaving you hoping for a change in this world. From “Shot Gun Lane” which fits right into the news of today and why there are so many protests around the world to “You Are My Angel” where I felt the pain as a loved one slipped away.  “World Class Drag” is a beautiful collection of poetry, twisted just like the twisted people he creates. World Class Drag, by Elizabeth Carter

Okay, so I’ve teased you all a bit here and there with a project that we are working on with @foul-ball and now I will tease it a bit more! You see that lovely link right up there? Click that thing and you can sample a few of the songs that make up a third of the multimedia experience. There will be music, and poetry, and photography.

World Class Drag is a collection of poetry and photography that focuses its attention on some of the darker aspects of humanity's shortcomings, but it does not wallow, instead leaving the reader with a sense of hope and a desire to affect change. The musical companion pieces are reminiscent of traditional singer/songwriter protest songs but with a potent mix of despair and hope.

We are pushing to have this out in mid-December. The collection of poetry and photography will be available as a full-color paperback or as a large format full-color hardcover coffee table book. Both will include the full companion album for free download! There might even be some of foul-ball’s Twisted People in the mix as well.
