Hack Space: Foulabs
So today had its ups and downs. For one, I found out my admission for university would have to be delayed, as they require me to take an English test (coz I'm from Canada and all hence I'm a foreign student). The delay isn't too bad, I won't be late but I won't be early either which scared me a bit. Afterwards, however, I decided I'd check out a hack space I'd found online, called Foulabs. It's basically an open garage where people do stuff that range from, building radios and 3d printers to animating stop motion lego movies. It's kind of kick ass. At first I was scared, thinking maybe the people there would be in-your-face know-it-alls that would mock me for my little knowledge. But what I found was quite the contrary. I immediately felt at ease when I walked in and saw all the friendly faces turn to me, and kind of at home. I didn't do much on my first night, I started making a big lego crab but didn't finish, then I discussed with someone how I would go about making a Fallout 3 pip-boy in real life. He gave me names of the hardware I should buy which was real cool. Anyway, a night that ends rather well, coz at least I know if I don't get accepted to uni next year I've got some places to go to to learn still. Signing out, 'night party people
