It took me 26 hours, 4 airports, 2 shuttles, 1 rental car, 12 phone calls to booked hotels, 6 hours flying, 3 hours driving, and 9 hours in a closed airport to learn the following: 1) I can fit my 5'10" self into about an 4 by 2 foot space with arm rests and still get almost 40 minutes of sleep, 2) When I'm exhausted I'm prone to accidentally walking into the men's restroom, more than once, and the wrong direction on a people-mover or escalator, more than once, 3) Some people are too busy or too insecure to be kind, 4) Some people are capable of kindness that can transform dispair into hope in mere moments, and 5) Even though the people in category 3 may out number the people in category 4, the latter is far more powerful. #madeittophilly #naspa2018 #bombcyclone #foulweather #philadelphia #flightcancelled #madeitanyway #determined #whenlifegivesyoulemons #lostbaggagefound
